Experimental dinner. "WAITING" - 8 performances for 8 guests - Montpellier 2011

Babeth festen is orchestrated for eight guests in three tableaux.

Eight adults who don't know each other, invited to share a time that lasts... The theme of the meal that brings them together: a question of time.

Protocol:

Table 1:

A table set with a tablecloth, 8 round mirrors (21cm in diameter) and on each of them, a gold leaf apple, a Soxhlet extractor (piece of glassware used in  analytical chemistry and  organic chemistry which allows extraction by solvent) with frozen wine inside, a basket filled with 3kg of peas. There are no cutlery.

Table 2:

On a mirror, transparent leek leaves and candied asparagus with liquorice, block of cucumber jelly.

Table 3:

Chocolate mousse, served in glasses made of ice cubes, placed on a round mirror.
